Tips & Details to my Jingle Mingle Holiday Event:

IF YOU ONLY READ ONE THING, PLEASE BELIEVE ME ABOUT DRESSING THE KIDS WARM!
WEATHER Tip: I have been clicking this event for many many years, and I know what works and doesn’t.
Usually it’s mid-30’s and partly cloudy. I’ve had it warmer, and we’ve had a full on blizzard.
Don’t let your guard down about the cold! If there is any wind, it will drop how cold it feels, by quite a bit.
Cover those hands, and the rest as much as possible.
Snow & flurries will not stop the event, and I will have extra sheltered areas to click, if needed.

PLEASE DRESS FOR THE WEATHER. I cannot stress this enough.
After YEARS of hosting this event, I assure you that COLD KIDS DO NOT SMILE. That means LAYERS under cute sweaters, WITH mittens, hats, coats, cute blanket for their laps, whatever your style is. BUT they will not “just pull their coats off for a couple photos.” (and if they do, they will look cold!)
PLEASE BELIEVE ME ABOUT THIS! NO EXPOSED SKIN on arms, legs and main body, please.

  • While I do have scenes that are sheltered from the elements a bit, this event goes on snow or shine! IF there were to be bad storms, etc. please watch your email for details.

  • Read the part about dressing kids for the weather again. I cannot tell you how many times I’ve been ignored, and you don’t have a happy kid with a happy face for your holiday cards!

  • You are welcome to take candid photos with the critters before or after, but please put away phones during our actual session time together. My set-ups and scenes are not for personal use.

  • Coats & scarves: Whatever is around your face & neck should lay flat, and not block cute cheeks.
    Mind those collars, and TEST THEM sitting down. (they pop up and cover faces sometimes.)

  • Please arrive 10 minutes early, NO earlier, READY to click. Mrs. Claus is on hand to assist and help; stay cozy in the car until she indicates it’s your time, if you wish.

  • Dogs & pets must be leashed at all times. They are more than welcome, but with all the farm critters running about, it does make for a bit of chaos. Please note that collars and leashes MAY be visible. There is a fee to digitally remove them.

  • Weather permitting (minimal wind) there will be a bonfire with s’mores on hand. You’re welcome to linger for a few minutes afterwards, visiting the critters and enjoy the farm. If you are here during the time when Santa Bob & Friends are, please respectful of the families who have booked session time with them.

  • The studio restroom will be closed, winterized for the season. Please plan accordingly. (gas station 1 mile west on Hwy 7)

  • Illness concerns? If you’re showing symptoms or are sick, please do not attend this event. Contact me for options, ASAP.

  • What’s next? After your session, you can expect a gallery of proofs within 72 hours. (Please check your spam box if needed) If you are hoping to get cards out, holiday gifts, etc. please have everything ready and give me a quick turnaround with your final choices. I edit in order clicked, then in order families return their favorite choices to me.

  • You’ll get (2) digital images included, buy more, or get artwork, table top items, ornaments & more!

Kids are often a little nutty and animated; no worries!
