Last month we took the light rail from the University area to Amtrak’s Union Depot. They were having TRAIN DAYS, an event to celebrate the rails, and our kids had a great time! I grabbed this adorable photo of my sprite by a lighted art piece, and took a moment to learn more about it. (it’s really interesting!)
From their Youtube intro: The Saint Paul Foundation kicked off the $1 million Forever Saint Paul Challenge on February 16, 2013 at the Union Depot. To celebrate, they set a new Guinness World Record for the “Largest Picture Made of Lite-Brite,” a giant art installation created by Saint Paul artist Ta-coumba Aiken.
The Saint Paul Foundation is the new Guinness World Records holder for the “Largest Picture Made of Lite-Brite.” See how we calculated the number of Lite-Brite pegs used to break this recod!
The Lite-Brite mural was unveiled at the February 16 kick-off event to celebrate the $1 MILLION Forever Saint Paul Challenge, brought to you by the Minnesota Idea Open.
